I spent some time trawling through my Github repos to decide what I need and whether some of them can go. I went through a phase of cloning templates, starting projects to experiment with something and then abandoning them. I thinned things down to current and archive projects. But only those that demonstrate my journey or hold some nostalgic value. There are a couple in there which represent significant milestones. I was excited to find I had written quite detailed Readme files at some point explaining what I was trying to do and what went wrong. They made for interesting reading!
I continued to work on my touch typing. It is like a memory game I played a few times at family gatherings where you each repeat a list of items, adding a new item each turn until the last person who can recite the list without making a mistake wins. With each new key, I can almost feel the fabric of my brain stretching to remember the key locations and commit them to muscle memory.
Occasionally, my hands take over and start hitting the right keys at the right time like a reflex action. My conscious brain looks on in astonishment. In some ways, conscious thought becomes a hindrance. You must enter an almost meditative state and let the key presses flow.
